I discovered Seagull guitars a few years ago. I love it. I’ve been a session and touring musician for many years and this guitar pounces on all the rest in their category. Like any guitarist, you have to know the guitars well to see which one fits a particular song that the artist would want. For those warmer smooth songs I would highly recommend this baby.I DID NOT BUY IT FROM AMAZON. But, I’d definitely buy another from Amazon if needed.Best to those thinking of buying one of these guitars! The craftsmanship alone is a dream.

I have to echo the other reviews here. I used to play, long, long ago, and eventually gave my guitar to my son. Decades later, I decided to pick it up again and, after a lot of research and reading many reviews, I splurged on this for a Christmas present to me. The guitar has a beautiful, rich, sound, keeps it's tune, has low action on the frets, which makes it easier to play. It came set up and ready to go! I will say that it's a big instrument (not too big, I don't think) but for my medium frame will take some getting used to. My poor finger pads are getting abused from noodling so much. C'mon callouses! I'm glad I went ahead and purchased a quality guitar, especially for the price, that will last me as I grow in skill.

The s6 is by far the best guitar I have purchased. I bought it used and got the slim neck acoustic version.Pros -1. excellent tune. Seriously. It holds its tune particularly well even for a gearbox-based tuning system like the guitar. The tuning pegs are easy to adjust as well. Some guitars really seem to ramp up on the tension, especially on the bottom and top strings - no so here!2. Comes with decent strings. I would say if you need top of the line strings, replace them. But if you are a beginner to the instrument like me, then these strings will work great!3. Great tone - sounds great whether picking or strumming, quiet or loud.4. Great action - unlike many guitars in this price range, the action is incredible out of the box. Buzzing strings do happen for me, but I attribute that to lack of skill and not the instrument. I do not have to push the strings down quite as hard, which leads to less finger pains.5. Value - incredibly good value. This is a guitar good enough for performance at the price of a midrange student's budget.Cons - these are potential downsides to be aware of if it's an issue.1. The strings are closer together on the slim. I know that sounds silly - that's the point! But it's far easier to play the wrong strings on accident.2. It's large. Keep this in mind, especially with a gig bag. I know, also sounds silly, but still worth noting.3. It can seem intimidating. It's real approachable to play, but looks really intimidating due to it's great construction. All in all, 10/10. I plan to play this guitar until the wood disintegrates, or I do, whichever is first.
