Your cart is empty. To install the Single Dose Hopper onto your machine:
1. Remove the original hopper from your machine and clean all old beans and grounds from the grinder. A vacuum cleaner works best. It is essential that the grinder inlet is free from all beans and grounds to ensure a secure fit.
2. Insert the orange locking ring by aligning the tabs with the slots in your grinder inlet. Ensure that the hopper is not connected to the orange locking ring at this time. Push the locking ring down firmly to ensure it is fully inserted.
3. Insert the hopper into the orange locking ring by aligning the tabs with the slots in the locking ring. Press down to ensure the hopper is fully inserted. Next, twist the hopper clockwise until you feel a click and the hopper will not twist any further. Note that this may require some force as the locking mechanism and O-ring seal. Applying an upward force (pull the hopper up) while twisting should make it easier. It is important to ensure the hopper is correctly installed to engage the safety pin that allows the grinder to operate.
To use the Single Dose Hopper:
1. Measure out your dose and dump the beans into the hopper. Tip: the silicone bellows works great to measure and transfer your beans!
2. Place the anti-popcorning weight on top of the beans.
3. Set the silicone bellows on top of the hopper.
4. Press the grinder trigger to begin grinding.
5. Once all the beans are ground, pump the bellows to purge the grinder. Note that this works best while the grinder is spinning; restart the grinder if it has stopped.
6. Enjoy your freshest cup yet!

it's easier now to single dose and make shots from any coffee bean i please. the flushing pump makes cleaning easier and ensures whatever bean i'm using is what is being grinded. great product, wish the Breville had this by default!

While pumping the Bellows air escapes along the bellows/hopper connection to the Breville grinder; also, because of the small size of the bellows I cannot create enough volume of air and pressure to compensate for the leakage to push grounds out from the grinder's outlet. I end-up using the Breville brush to go up the outlet, swish it around, and I'll get anywhere from a half to seven or eight tenths of a gram of coffee grounds.

It works fine, but the issue is the nature of the grinder, some coffee remain in the grinder due to static electricity. Even water spray (RDT) doesn't work completely for low/middle coffee quality levels. Sometimes I have to paunch the silicon cover to get almost the same input coffee in the output.Totally, the product works great, the only negative point is the price.

I’ve been single dosing my coffee for my Breville Barista Express for a while now. 1-2 weeks ago I did a complete cleaning on my grinder that involved removing both of the burrs. I noticed a large difference in the weight output versus what my input after my cleaning. This made me decide to try this product after some research.I made my daily latte before receiving this product. I saw other videos on how this product worked prior to ordering and it made the install a breeze. I removed my hopper and vacuumed out all of the beans I could get out with the upper burr removed. I assembled this product, ran the grinder, and pumped the bellow a few times. To my surprise 1.1 grams of coffee came out of the grinder that didn’t come out when making my daily drink. I haven’t tested how much coffee retention I’ll have with this product, but considering I was able to clear out 1.1 grams of stuck coffee, not counting the beans stuck around the rim I think I will have much better results.

I bought one, brought it with me to visit family and ended up gifting it to them, and then bought myself a 2nd.For those serious about single dosing with a Breville Barista machine, this is an essential mod. Overall, it has cut down on grinder retention (a significant issue with these machines) immensely.

Frage bleibt wie gesund das Ding aus dem 3D Drucker ist aber da ich die benötigte Menge Kaffee direkt vor dem Mahlen abwiege, ist die Kontaktzeit des Trichters mit den Bohnen denkbar gering. Danach wird durchgepustest und gut. Feine Sache, insbesondere wenn man mehr als eine Sorte Bohnen nutzt (nachmittags gern auch entkoffeiniert).

Es lo mejor que he podido añadirle a mi máquina. Además, la hace mucho más minimalista y al ser negro, unifica todo su aspecto visual con el modelo Trufa Negra. Yo lo veo un utensilio indispensable, ya que los fuelles de goma que venden para la tolva original no suelen casar bien del todo y normalmente te quedas con el fuelle en la mano cada vez que vas a quitar la tapa para echar café, por lo que tienes que estar encajando los componentes constantemente.

The plastic parts are 3d printed, not perfefct but in this application I decided it is fine. Just saw they have an aluminum version available so I'd get that. The device works well. Not zero retention but helps a lot. The main advantage is it is easier to single dose for those that want to weigh the beans first. The biggest problem I have with it is that the bellows, which they claim is made of silicone developed a shiny, sticky residue all over its surface.Update: Contacted the seller on etsy and they are sending a new bellows. Absolutely great customer service!
