After renting an older model of these babies form a surf shop in Portland, I knew I had to buy my own. They work great and look good while doing it. Make sure you secure them on either side of your roof (either passenger or driver) as opposed to centering it down the middle. Otherwise, the tension wont be quite enough to keep your board(s) from sliding around a bit in-transit. Works best if your ride has roof rails on the side to help them synch down and get a tight fit-but they will work fine even if you don't have such luxuries.
