I owned the 100 dollar version last year and liked it but it stopped working after one season. I decided to try the 7-1 version are about twice the cost. It never worked. What readings it reports are not accurate such as ph - and yes I calibrated it several times along side the how to videos posted. And other reading such as salt never change and are not correct or even close. Very disappointed. I went to website and chatted with customer support who directed me to the place of purchase. Of course I did not save the packaging because I expected to get at least a season out of this device so ni way of sending it back. It will find it’s way to a dumpster. you got me twice now - one that only worked a single season and one that never worked there will not be a third attempt.

Way off readouts for salt measurement compare to other methods used to measures salt concentration in ppm.

PH and salt concentration, both accurate. Comes with calibration powders. Just add water, and store in 250ml jars for future use. Easy to read, fast responding. So much nicer to get a digital number, rather than a rough color compare strip. I adjust down to about 7.2 as salt water pools tend to rise. When it hits 7.6, I knock it back down again. Allow several hours after a chemical addition before a retest.

Very close reading compared with a pool store.. one problem.. don’t lean over the pool will your taking your sample … just saying lol.

The product arrived by mail, not courier, in a crushed box. The unit was obviously repackaged, it contained dead batteries in the unit itself, but included a packet of four batteries. Packaging, inner contents, instructions, were all wrinkled and clearly handled by many people.The instructions are full of serious errors that make it impossible to calibrate the unit. Out of the box, the unit is wildly inaccurate, other than temperature. Performing a factory reset did not improve the situation. Then tried to calibrate the unit.The three testing packets that came with it to create a solution were only for pH; there were no solutions to test for the other measuring functions. The method for recalibrating is so badly articulated in the instructions that it was impossible to start the calibration function. No manner of button pressing configurations, either according to the vague instructions, or anything else, could actually get the calibration process to begin. Since the unit was so inaccurate on pH, there was no way of knowing how bad it would have been on the other measurements.After placing the end in water to test it, only up to the maximum prescribed level, and later laying down the unit, residual water from the testing end ran all the way up the unit into the top where the batteries were, indicating that the unit clearly is not properly sealed or constructed. This unit was NOT submerged any further than the maximum depth, so this was not user error.Overall, was not able to test this unit or even properly calibrate it, rendering it useless.Unit was returned for a refund.

Worked right out of the box. I didn’t have to calibrate it. Primarily bought it for salt level reading and it’s reads less than 100 over what local swim store reads the salt at. Ph is even more accurate. Does what I needed it to do. Less trips to the swim store for water level readings now.

Lack of instructions. Had to come back to Amazon for any instructions. Then no way to calibrate salt or how get the stuff to recalibrate even the PH. I purchased to check salt level in my pool but cannot do that. Also looks like it would already be calibrated. Does not even say how or where to get the salt calibration stuff. Very disappointed and most like going to return tomorrow for a refund. You would think for this kind of price it would have clearer instructions!!
