Holds a 150 ft of garden hose? I have fishing reels bigger than this!

I had more hopes for this. This mostly works, but it's not as convenient as I expected. For context, I am reviewing this product with a teknor apex zero-g pro "flat" hose. It is 1/2" and 50ft long. This hose is one covered in firehose material and "inflates" when in use. It is not one of the expanding hoses as the length doesn't change. This isnt a "normal" hose in many ways so your experience may vary.First off, it is very light and flimsy It must be mounted firmly to operate the spool otherwise it just flips around. I do not have a wall to mount it to so this is unfortunate. It is coated in a pretty thick coating (epoxy maybe?) which blunts some of the sharp metal edges. Once that starts wearing off there will be cutting hazards here and there.Next, the hose connector at the center of the spool is not angled outward enough. The zero-g hose has this 5-6inch "comfort grip" which makes it so I can't attach it. I ended up carefully hammering the edge of the hole until it was dented in enoughfor the grip to fit. So il categorize this as a mostly fixable issue.overall, its technically functional, It technically organizes my hose, but its probably too floppy to convince me to actually roll it up when im done.

The Y-ASQA Store wall-mount stainless steel garden hose reel is so much more convenient than gathering up my 100-foot hose around my arm or manually winding it around some stationary object. The stainless steel is essential for an outdoor product like this, and I was pleased to find that it has not sharp edges. All edges are rounded.I mounted this hose reel in a garden area by screwing its hangars to an existing You-wind-it manual hose reel stand. This reel comes with two wall-mount adaptors that allow you to have the hose reel on the side of your house, while allowing you to pick it up off the adaptor and move it to another location where you can hand it on another identical adaptor (the Y-ASQA Store wall-mount stainless steel garden hose reel comes with two of these hangers).A necessary female-to-female hose adaptor is supplied to allow your spigot extension hose to mate with this hose reel.I do not plan to carry my reel around, so I used both wall-mount adaptors on the same stand to better support the reel when pulling the hose off bay hand rather than unreeling it with the side handle (see pictures). Those are the positives and I would have given this product 5 stars were it not for one deficiency: the instruction-- or lack thereof. There are NO instructions indicating how certain included parts are to be used. There is a small locking latch (see photo) that is probably used to keep the bottom of the reel from pulling away from the wall upon which it is mounted, but there is nothing in the supplied flier or even in the Amazon.com listing that indicates what this is supposed to used for or how it is to be used.

This hose reel sure looks nice. It's shiny and operates well. The sides are a bit on the thin side though, and probably easily bent if you slam into it the wrong way. The included instructions are only for mounting, and didn't include anything about how to connect the hose or attach the handle and where to find the screw (it is wrapped up in the bag of parts with one of the mounting brackets). Luckily, it is fairly self-explanatory when you take a few seconds to look.I have a 100-foot metal hose and it fits fine on this reel. The handle makes it easy to wrap the hose back up. It makes my front garden area look better since I am not just laying the hose in a pile anymore. I give this five stars with the caveat that the sides are a bit thin. I still like it a lot.

Pretty nice. I give this 4.5 stars. This hose has a small footprint. Its light and strong. Assembly was very easy although it did not have any instructions that came with it. The hose hooked up nicely (i have a stainless steel hose) so there was no leakage. Not sure about other hoses but my stainless steel hose of 75 feet barely took up any space in the reel. I am not mounting it so i can't really say how easy it is to mount. I can say that when you roll up the hose, it moves quite a bit. I wish it had a little stepping area to hold it steady while rolling up your hose. I have to hold the bottom with my foot for it to remain stationary.

This reel is tiny. When winding the first layer of hose on it, I had to stop, and turn on the water to fill the hose for it not to collapse. We have 50' of 5/8 hose on it, and that is about the capacity. The pictures in the posting, that might be 20' of hose on the reel. If even that. "flexible" wall mounting is a creative way of describing the wall mount. It is flexible, all right. flexes all around while cranking on it. sliding all over the place. I had expected much more, especially at this price point. It might be worth half of what the list price is asking, but more realistically one third. Could not mount the handle without deburring the receiver on the barrel and cleaning off the burrs and excess coating material on the handle first. Quality I'd expect on a $20 reel.

Wow, what a great, sturdy hose reel this is. It was very easy to set up. Currently I’m using it as free standing, with a 50’ hose. I could easily add another 50 foot hose if needed, with plenty of room on the reel. Just hold and crank the handle to wind up your hose. No more messy twisting and fighting with the hose to curl it up for storing. I’m not sure how long the stainless steel will look nice after a summer of dust and water, but it certainly is nice and shiny for now, and durable as far as strength. I have used a plastic hose reel in the past—this stainless steel is definitely more sturdy. It is heavier and stronger, making it easier to reel in your hose. A bit pricey, and for now, worth it. If this hose reel doesn’t hold up I will definitely update.
