Ok. I have a longhair tuxedo and she likes her bathroom to be spacious. Got this as I keep experimenting between clay and pellet. On pellet with the liners cleaning is a breeze. The quality of the metal boxes are great, and the size is spacious as she likes with the height of the walls being perfect for her privacy.. Works good so far and with the ease of use I give it 5 stars!

The AIPERRO Stainless Steel Litter Box is a very good choice for cat owners. I tested it with multiple cats and found the XXL size to be perfect for giving them enough space. The stainless steel build feels strong and is easy to clean. It does not absorb odors like plastic does.The product is designed for use with pine pellet litter, and the sifting system functions well. The included lid and accessories are useful, and the high sides help keep the litter inside. My cats adjusted to it quickly without any issues.For under $150, the value for money is excellent. I recommend this litter box for anyone looking for something durable and easy to maintain.

Switching to this with pine pellets made everything easier. No smell, easy to dump, and way sturdier than plastic trays.

This is a great product - Hard to find the right size pads that fit into it but it's a great cleanable solution for larger cats.

Seems like we have tried EVERY litter trying to find the least offensive; clay in different forms, the little round balls, etc, etc. We stumbled on the idea of wood pellets, like you use in some pellet stoves. They are far superior!!! Scoop out the turds. The liquid hits the pellets and the turn to powder. That's where this box comes in.I have built a couple solutions by drilling a lot of 1/4" holes in the bottom of a plastic litter box. This litter box is FAR, FAR superior. Those slots offer a lot more open area for the powder to fall through. See my photo. A much, much, much better solution. You just need to stir the pellets a little and the powder falls through the slots and into the lower pan. Eventually the plastic box has begun to retain smell, even after rinsing and washing with bleach. That will not be a problem with stainless!!!We are not using the liquid collecting pads. They don't seem necessary. Discard the powder and rinse out the lower pan. That's all that's really needed. Our cats don't throw much litter around (thankfully) so we're also not using the top shroud.This an extremely well-built product. Steel is appropriately thick and sturdy. All the edges are rolled so I don't find any sharp spots.Since we have 3 cats, I'll be buying a 2nd one and getting rid of another plastic box that I built. The wood pellets are soooooo much better than other solutions. There is almost NO SMELL. Really. Get this litter box!!!!!An excellent solution. Deserves 6 stars!!!

So, I saw that this includes a 'pasta strainer' upper level bin, intended to be used with larger pine pellet style litter, with a pee pad in the very bottom to collect liquids.My cats have refused to use pine pellets, but I wondered if regular litter, with the pee pad at the bottom of the (upper) strainer level instead of below, would work.It Does.Place the pee pad on the bottom, and add litter on top of that.To change the litter, pull out the pee pad to 'engage' the filtering, shake a little, and the unused litter falls through into the bottom tray, and the clumps remain above, for easy emptying into a garbage can.Replace pee pad, fill with litter from the lower bin, place on top of each other, Done.No Scooping!!(It does come with a short handled scoop, which does work suprisingly well, but in other litter boxes!)Sometimes I've been able to reuse the pee pad, sometimes not (and depends on use, and whether your cat is an energetic digger, or not!)...but it works well either way, and all three cats are using it.(Two of them still seem to prefer to use the Litter Robot, but all of them have used this new one.)Of course there is the added expense of pee pads. 10 (17" x 23") are included.And can be had for as low as 15cents each, figure one a day, or approximately $5/month?), but I think not having to scoop is worth it.(It does still require you get down on your knees to remove the pad and upper 'strainer' bin, so won't save on knees much, but is much faster to change w/o scooping.)This is an interesting half way step between a litter robot device and 'plain old litter bins' - and since the the kit is about the same price as other premium litter boxes, why not try it?I measured both stainless bins at right around 17mils thick, so slightly above average metal thickness for stainless bins measured so far.This has become my - and my cats' - favorite litter bin - surprise!!Highly recommended. An easy 5 stars.

Super happy to upgrade from my plastic pellet litter box to this awesome, high quality stainless steel version. The build quality is excellent. It feels super sturdy, the edges are smooth, and it’s easy to clean. YAY! The plastic seemed to absorb smells over time, so this is such an improvement• Works great with pine pellet litter• Sifts easily and keeps the sawdust separate• Stainless steel is more hygienic and won’t absorb odors like plastic• High sides help prevent mess• My cat had no issues adjusting and likes itI haven’t tried it with the included pee pads yet, but the main function works exactly as described. You just stir a little and dump the lower tray when needed. Simple and effective. I have a ton of pee pads from my prior system that I plan to use for this, so no extra waste there either.We’ll see how it holds up long-term, especially in Austin’s hot and humid climate, but so far I’m really pleased. If you use pine litter, this setup is a game-changer.
