This charger worked well with an older Surface Pro. I do wish that the connector that goes to the computer had a more standard interface. I have another power brick that uses a USB C connector.

My teenage daughter looses and/or misplaces everything. (Seriously everything, even the teachers charging cable he loaned her last school year when she couldn't find hers during the school day. I had to buy them both a replacement!) She recently acquired a new Surface Laptop and I pre-emptively ordered this replacement charger. Until she looses one, she can keep one in her bookbag, and one in her room, so she always has power on the go. (No more forgetting it at home after forgetting to charge overnight.)I tried to inquire as to the charging speed but I was met with the usual teenage "I don't have time for you Mom" grunt.The price at 30% off is great. My daughter actually having a charged computer at school is priceless!!
