I was just buying some replacement brake pads for Tektro ones that wore out. I noticed that because these have such a large surface area, there was a noticeable increase in stopping power when compared to normal cartridges. An added bonus.

I bought a bicycle for my wife that had these brakes on it. It was a used bike, in good condition, but then my wife was complaining how the brakes made a really bad squealing noise. She was embarrassed riding it around town. Sure enough she was correct. So I replaced the brake pads with these and problem solved. Happy wife, happy life.....

The original pads on my aging Trek comfort bike were worn dangerously thin and ineffective. These pads are slightly longer, providing more braking surface and faster stops. Two thumbs up!
