I have a wrap around porch with two large openings. I also have geese that decided the porch was the ideal place to sleep at night and so it was a daily fight to keep the poop off the porch. These are going to work perfectly.I wanted something affordable, something big enough to fit the openings and something that will keep the birds out. These check all the boxes. I got 2 gates for the price of most gates in this side range.Putting them together went pretty fast, it took around an hour to get all my supplies and build the two gates. (The second one took around 15 minutes so if you're handier and more organized than I am, then it shouldn't take you that long)My only real issue was one of them was missing a piece where you join the two sections. It was the smooth piece that you screw another screw into it. I imagine I can find one at home depot, but for the time being I just put a deck screw in it and that fixed it just fine.As for sturdiness, that's kind of up to you and what you're trying to keep out/in. I raised mine a few inches off the floor so that it's even with the rest of the porch railing. That means it's basically free floating on the 4 eye screws. It's going to be fine for the geese, but my goats and great dane puppy are going get past it pretty quickly. (They shouldn't be in that part of the yard so it's on me if they end up breaking it.)I love that it's easy to remove, and that it can swing all the out or just slide it enough for you to get by. Definitely worth the money if you're looking for a visual block rather than a strong block.

Really like this gate! Sturdy, inexpensive, short enough to step over, made out of real wood. You can either swing it open or slide it and there is nothing to trip over. The latch takes a little getting used to but is secure. I like that it’s not extremely heavy. I added felt sliders to the feet.

Decent. Serves its purpose. The reason for a 4 ⭐️ review is that it is difficult at times to latch & it doesn’t slide all the way to the end (if I wanna close it) it has to remain open- like a stair rail. It will swing open, however & that’s nice.

I hope I can help someone else avoid the issues I had...I have a 100 inch doorway between my living room and sunroom. I had a sturdy metal baby gate across this doorway for 3 years that recently broke so I needed a replacement. I chose this one because I wanted something that fit the doorway. The one I had before was too long so I had to bend sections so they stuck out from the doorway. This gate is NOT the length described. I measured the gate and the one I received was a little shorter then 97 inches fully stretched. So too short for my doorway. The hardware it comes with is too short to make it fit the length needed. So if you need this to fit anything larger than 96 inches, you will need to buy longer hardware. The gate comes in two pieces you have to assemble with 4 screws. The holes do not line up right so I had a heck of a time getting the hardware into the holes. I finally did but it shouldn't have been this difficult. This gate should have taken me all of 10 minutes to put up but it took much longer, at least 20, due to the issues all of the issues I have described (Hardware, length, holes not lining up).I am tired of returning things to Amazon. They keep sending me subpar, damaged items or straight up the wrong items. So it is not worth dragging it to UPS and returning it. I made it work but will need to go buy longer hardware to accommodate the extra length of my doorway otherwise the current hardware will likely rip out of the doorway since not much of it can be screwed into the wall to accommodate the shorter than advertised length. Also, this is a pain to open and close. The mechanism to open and close is really difficult to press/squeeze. So if you have any issues with your hands (arthritis, carpal tunnel, etc) this is NOT the gate for you. I am stepping over it to avoid having to squeeze the latch. It is not super sturdy but I knew with past experience that wooden gates are not, especially ones this long. It will work for now and if I get a year out of it, I will be happy. But they need to be accurate with their descriptions because the length of the gate and hardware will not fit a 103" doorway.

I looked at sooooooo many gates my eyes were crossing! Lol…we recently bought a new home that has a good sized porch, we have a 4 year old and wanted to get a gate for when it was raining or so I could feel at ease running in the house for a minute knowing he was going to be safe on the porch. The metal ones long enough for what I needed were $200! There was no way I was spending that much. So it was a toss up between this gate or a retractable gate. Those are great if you have a just walking child maybe or for pets but I was afraid he’d be able to figure out the super easy locks they have and be able to escape! That would defeat the whole purpose…plus this one was a little cheaper so i decided to try this one and I’m so happy I went with the toddlerroo gate. Super easy to install the eyelet hooks. Our house is limestone, so I bought a set of masonry bits and my hubby drilled the holes and inserted the masonry anchors and it worked perfectly!!! The other side is latched to our porch railing. I also loved this one bc you could completely take it down when you weren’t using it and all that’s left is the 4 eyelet hooks. No bulky rolled up gate or bulky hardware. Honestly for $40 I’m super happy. We threw a fast coat of white paint on it to match our railing and it looks great! Almost looks like part of our porch! So YES I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a LONG affordable gate! We just put it up every night to keep it out of the weather. Perfect until our little man gets big enough he won’t take off! Lol…it also only took us like 30 minutes to throw a coat of paint on it. BUY IT!

Very flimsy. Lock gets stuck after a while. Not worth the price at all.
