Great that you get 2 in a package, but they're not very precise out of the bag. I had to smoothen out the inner cone area where the stem balanced, and point of the stem before it could balance smoothly and give accurate reading.. I used a 600 grit paper to get it mirror polished and it was moving and balancing precise after that. Don't take too much off any side of the stem tip, or it will throw off balance also.. Keep all surfaces even, but smooth as possible for most accurate balance.. Glad I got 2, as things get lost fast around here.

The product was functional enough, but why a two pack? I would rather buy one at half the price.

I've been using one of these for years and it works great. Just set the blade centered on the tool and if the blades tilts, then it is out of balance so grind some off that end and try again.

Getting 2 at this price is great and they’re made of metal. Took 1 star off because both cones had small excess metal on the lower edges. I filed them off from both cones to ensure a balanced setup.Helpful Tips: Put a little oil on the tip of the pin, it makes the cone more responsive. If the blade hole is loose on the cone steps, happened to me. Take a small piece of paper and put it over the cone to make for a tighter / centered fit. If not the blade may / will shift more towards one side making in seem unbalanced. Hopefully this help's.

The balancer, works very good, when you load a blade on, you mark the side thats high with a sharpie, and then as your sharpening, give the edge a couple of hits with the file or if you using a grinder, grind the edge and then rebalance, repeat until it’s level, you know you got it and it greatly reduces vibration
