The kit has 6 sets of corrosion control rings (red and green rings).The lead shims need to be sized and fitted to the battery terminal post.Sometimes a strip of copper between the battery post and the cable terminal works.

With 4 drivers and 8 vehicles in my household, I have plenty of car batteries to maintain. Because some of the cars are classics, worn battery posts/terminals are a frequent occurrence. I like to retain the factory battery cables/terminals whenever possible, to keep everything original, but the terminals often get stretched or worn to the point that they no longer maintain a tight connection. These universal battery post shims are super handy to pop onto a battery post and take out the extra slack, ensuring a tight connection. The included red and green battery post washers are a nice bonus and help keep the battery posts and terminals free from corrosion. Overall, I'm very happy with this kit and would recommend it to anyone who regularly works on vehicles, heavy equipment, ATVs, etc.

My car has a battery cable that has a weird end that is made onto the cable, plus multiple wires that split off of it. The end that clamps onto the battery is worn out so badly that it doesn't want to tighten up on the battery post anymore. I can't just replace the cable easily, so these shims are my next best option. I wished a few of them was a tad bit thinner but I will make them work. Some of them are bent out of shape and look badly molded, but there are plenty to pick through in this kit. The felt washers are nice and work great under the battery post. Overall a decent kit.
