I took the Rypt Gym Grip to my La Fitness workout and ran it through my weight training routine. I needed something that would protect my grip when doing heavy lat pulldowns and heavy lat rows. I've tried a couple different types of weight lifting gloves but none protect the pads of your fingers when pulling 180+ pounds. The design of the Rypt Grip provide a silicone cushion channel that runs on top of the pads of your fingers. The silicone Grip felt comfortable and were extremely effective in making my lat work pain free. I was actually able to add a couple reps to my sets because I wasn't distracted by the weight pressure on my finger pads. I found that for weight training exercises that required a pushing movement, i.e. presses and triceps work, the Grip left the thumb pad and the lower palm uncovered. It was not a distraction for me in my bench and overhead presses. The Rypt Grip set comes in a cool looking draw string bag so they are ready to go when I'm heading to the health club. I highly recommend them, especially if you're pushing heavier weights.

Had very high hopes for the Upgrade Rypt Grip Gym Hand Grips by Heebabeys for my gym workouts. I have tendonitis in both forearms so some of my grips at the gym can be quite painful. I have used these grips for 3 separate gym workouts. Of the 12 different pieces of equipment I use for each of my workouts, these grips helped slightly on 1 piece for one particular pull exercise. The grips added some thickness to the round bar making my grip a little wider and slightly less painful than usual (not pain free, unfortunately). Other than that, there weren’t any noticeable improvements to my grip from using these grip pads during my workouts. The grips were either not needed (for paddle and ergo type handles) or made zero difference to my grip, even when using bar bells. They didn’t make my grip any better (easier, stronger, more comfortable, or more secure), the textured bottom wasn’t anti-slip, and they didn’t add any “stickiness” (better grip) to the equipment handles or bar bells. And I have tried a similar silicone gym grip and had the same results - zero grip improvement. Of the two different gym grips designs I have used, the “over the finger / ring type” design felt more secure & comfortable than the “in between the finger” design, as did the larger pad size. Great concept with zero grip improvement.

These grip pads definitely get the job done and provide a solid barrier between my hands and the weights. However, they don’t mold to the shape of my hand as well as I’d hoped, which makes them a bit less comfortable during longer workouts. I like the concept, and I feel like this style of grip pad is gaining popularity in the fitness world—so I’m confident future versions will become more ergonomic and better fitting. This set works, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Gloveless workouts. I lost one of my leather workout gloves and had been using half biking gloves. I decided to give these a try and the first time I used them for my workout, they kinda hurt my hands due to the curvature of the grip. I think they are sized more for men which is maybe why they hurt. However, the next time I used them to work out, they no longer hurt, so I think there is a bit of a break-in period. I Iike that my hands are mostly exposed, keeping sweating down, and they are also easy to take off when needed (like bathroom breaks).

These are a great addition for my gym visits. They fit the hand well giving comfort for the weight machine bars to assist in preventing or in my case reducing calluses on the hand. I do not use weight lifting gloves, but saw these and decided to give them a try and they worked beautifully. There is a handy little loop on the back side of it for you to slip your index finger into to keep them attached. The silicon material is pliable and conforms to the hand very well as pressure is applied to the bar during a lift. The edges are feathered to almost nothing to give a comfortable edge that is not even felt as it transitions to your skin grasping around the bar. I would high recommend these.

I suppose they’re good for what they are.I have been a bit of a ‘gym rat” for over 2 decades now. I have used all different types of wraps, straps, braces, etc. over the years. This product/design is something new to me and I’m not quite sure why it was developed. The product feels as though it is good quality and the silicone has a bit of tackiness to it which definitely helps with grip. This product also has a textured pattern which also seems to help “hold” onto the weights. In my opinion, this product might be beneficial for guys who don’t want to develop calluses or just want soft, girly hands for whatever reason and/or for women who, needless to say, are deemed by society as being required to have soft, callus-free hands.I prefer wrist straps and have for years, but for someone who just wants to protect their hands a bit without wearing some ridiculous-looking gloves, this may be a good option.

It does make sense that these silicone grips would improve your grip, but they actually don't, especially due to major design flaws. First of all, it is too flat. This means that to grip a cylinder, your hand would need to do more work to wrap these in a circular shape and also hold on to the bar. This actually tires our your grip faster. Also the hexagonal grooves are way too shallow and doesn't really help much. If you are trying to make your grip to not be a limiting factor in your workouts, stick to straps or versa grips instead.

These grips are harder and thinner than I expected. The material does not really help with grip, although it does prevent your skin from pinching. The attachment to the index finger isn't very secure, as the loop is quite large. It would be better to be sandwiched towards the middle of the hand, so that the force from the hand passes through the center of the grip.
