I have 2 macbook pros, this would not work for my older one because it requires a plug that uses 2 usb c. I think because it requires me power. My newer one with M1 will work with this though so it works partially. Just be aware of what device you have.

I have this connected to a new HP laptop via the USB-C output. HDMI and all peripherals connected right away, but my 4K HDMI monitor would disconnect/reconnect every 5-10 minutes. It made it unworkable. I'm keeping this but saving it for another use.

I needed the dock that supports 1 GE, 4 USB-A, PD and detachable cable and does not cost a fortune. This one meets my retirements. It runs just warm, so it’s a plus.

The dock will not work with the included usb c cable. I purchased any additional usb c cable and the dock does connect to my computer but theHDMI and display ports did not work.I was finally able to get the dock working with a very short usb c cord but only one monitor will work with my Mac book pro. I will be returning this inferior product.
