I grabbed this adapter mainly to connect my work laptop to two monitors and make the desk setup cleaner. The price was solid and it had decent ratings so I figured why not. It actually worked right away with my Windows machine with no extra steps or software. Both screens showed up and extended just like I hoped. The picture quality’s good and I haven’t seen any flickering or sync issues. The body has a nice metallic feel too, not cheap plastic. That said the cable on it is pretty short so depending on your setup you might need to scoot your laptop closer than you’d like. Also I tried it on my MacBook just to see and as expected it only mirrored the same screen on both monitors which the listing does say but I kinda hoped it might still work somehow. It’s not a huge issue since I mainly use it with Windows but if you’re looking for true dual extended screens on macOS this won’t do it. The other thing is it does get a bit warm after a few hours not dangerously hot just noticeable. For the price and the way it performs on Windows though I’m still glad I got it.

I've been using a three-monitor solution on my laptop for some time (the laptop's own screen plus 2 hdmi monitors) and always had trouble with the usbc dual hdmi controllers eventually burning out. I was typically using one usba on the hdmi adapter to power one monitor, had an external charger powering the second hdmi monitor, but still they would overheat, and in six to eight months would fail.I decided to go with this solution, where the usbc to dual hdmi adapter only provides hdmi (and not power to either monitor) and both monitors get external power. This is working well, the hdmi adapter gets only very slightly warm (about 95F whereas before it was running 20F hotter than that). The one star off is due to this: One thing I had to do with this solution, which I did not have to do with the others I've tried, is that I had to configure my usb adapters to never power off. (How to: using device manager on windows 11, go to "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section, right-click on each hub, go to "power management" tab, disable the checkbox next to "Allow the computer to turn this device off to save power", click OK. Do this for every Hub device since you don't know which one is the monitor adapter). In addition, I set my screen saver settings to never disable the monitor. I still use screen saver, just never disable. These two sets of changes fixed it for me. It's possible depending on exact OS version you have that you just need one or the other of these solutions, so some fiddling may be necessary if you have the same issue I do.Without these changes, every time my laptop screen disabled (screen saver, etc), on re-enabling the screen the two hdmi monitors would never wake up until a full system reboot. Even pulling out the usbc and plugging it back in would not reboot the external hdmi monitors, only a full laptop reboot would wake them up. Obviously that is not convenient at all! This was all pretty minor though, because GPT told me how to fix it by adjusting the settings in device manager and screen saver areas, and that did work, everything is stable now and the external monitors both wake up whenever I unlock the laptop. But, one star off because none of the other adapters I've used in the past required me to do that. One caveat: make sure you have the right kind of usbc port on your laptop, it has to be one that supports dual displays. Unfortunately there is no standard marking for this. Most recent laptops (the last couple years) probably have one of these. My computer is a low budget acer ($500 laptop) and it works fine, but your mileage may vary.OVERALL: Inexpensive and stable solution to provide two external monitors for my laptop. The lack of high heat indicates to me this will continue to work long term. I advise against using a solution that provides dual hdmi and also other usb ports to power the monitors, as in my experience those overheat and eventually fail.

This USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter is a game-changer! Set up was super easy, and now I have two monitors running off my Mac. If you’re tired of juggling multiple windows on one screen, this is the fix you need. It mirrors the same screen on MacOS, but for Windows, it extends into two different screens. No more excuses for messy desktops! Highly recommend if you’re looking to boost productivity or just want to look extra fancy with your dual monitor setup.

This dual HDMI USB-C adapter sadly did not work for my HP EliteBook 860, eventhough the laptop does support USB-C display output. I'm not sure if my laptop just doesn't support two monitors from the port, as I do have a portable USB-C monitor that works well with it, or not.But I did give it to a buddy of mine who has a macbook pro and said it worked great for him.It seems well made with the metal shell and the cord has a sturdy non-cheap feel to it, so as far as quality, it feels like a solid device.I did hope it would have worked because I love the idea of having the two HDMI outputs as well as an additional USB-C and standard USB connection as almost a type of hub.For the list price, it's a very good value as the only thing I've been able to get to work with my EliteBook is an $80 USB-C docking hub setup.

Got this for my hubby. Here's what he says: Cable works great. I installed it to two 27” monitors and to my Laptop. The device does get hotter but does not impact running 2 monitors and my laptop at the same time. I have been using for a few weeks now with no concerns. I like the USB-A addition so I could connect to a remote camera without using the other USB-A port on my laptop. I have not used the USB-C extra port on the device. I would buy again and really like the flexibility of the device and the ability to dramatically expand my monitors.

For those on the go, or using Laptops in and out of office settings without a proper docking station, this is perfect. With two HDMI ports I can either duplicate, or create additional desktop space for other apps. I can have MS-TEAMS open on one screen, Email on another, while working on a spreadsheet, or sharing a powerpoint screen on another. Its a must have for those needing a small profile adapter in and out of meetings or hoteling workstations. The unit is small, with a metal exterior for heat dissipation but I never felt it get warm at all unless you were charging your laptop through the USB-c port, which is definitely a nice touch for those laptops with only one USB-C port.Overall, great addition to your laptop bag!

The ClossDirect USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter worked perfectly out of the box to connect my Acer laptop to two 27-inch monitors (BenQ & Acer). The adapter is plug and play with no driver requests. The adapter also has a USB A/B adapter that works fine. The cord is a nice length - not too short, and long enough to allow for functional placement.

This product did not work for me, using a USB-C port on a docking station going to two monitors. Plugging the USBC cord directly into the laptop, I was able to get one monitor to work. It's possible that the docking station is the part at fault here, but buyers should be aware that it may be tricky to get this to work with your setup if a docking station is in the mix, and it may not work with your laptop's graphics.

Take note of the specifications on advertisement:- As long as your device has a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C Alt Mode port, you can easily extend your laptop to two monitors.- Make sure your USB-C port supports Alt DP for proper functionality.I tested this adapter with my Minisforum mini PC, which features a USB-C 3.2 port (Alt DP, Data, and DP), and encountered no issues. It worked flawlessly with my 43” 4K LG monitor and my 27” 1080P HP Pavilion native monitor. It’s impressive that such a compact device includes USB-C fast charging support and a USB-A port with 5Gbps data transfer. This adapter is plug-and-play, requiring no additional drivers - just connect it and start using it instantly. At the time of review, the list price is $29.99 (or $26.99 with a 10% discount). It’s a fantastic deal. Verdict: 5 stars!

This usb-c adapter worked great for my needs. I have a work laptop, a Dell Precision 5490 and it only has usb-c ports and I needed to attach it to a KVM switch with only HDMI and usb-a ports. This adapter allowed me to have a second HDMI monitor and regular usb mouse and keyboard through a KVM switch.
