these drawbar hooks look stout, but there is no mention of the grade of steel used so you will need to decide how hard you’ll pull on them. depending on the width of your drawbar, you may need to use some washers or make a spacer to take up some of the slack. most tractors are going to have a flat drawbar, not a square fixed clevis as shown in the Amazon ad. normally if I’m pulling I’ll use an appropriately sized clevice or a 2” or 2 5/16” ball on the bar, but chains can and do slip off with the latter arrangement. barring the question of metallurgy, these Zonon hooks are probably safer than a hitch ball. and def more convenient. they can be removed by pulling a pin, to remove a ball you’ll need a wrench or socket or something. I think these are ok, $35/pair might be a rip off or a bargain depending on the steel used. The ad says “quality material” and then goes on to show tractor trailer rigs and large farm tractors, but in the same picture there is 1/4” chain and even “rope” in another. So, buyer beware, I suspect most folk looking at this ad / review have experience with equipment and chains and towing and getting stuck. For me, I think it will be strong enough, I’ve seen enough accidents in my day that I’ll be pretty conservative with however I use it.
