Due to its odd size and the odd placement of the skimmers, my pool needs some extra skimming power. I have tried various devices with limited success. This one looked simple enough to do the trick.Attaching the device is pretty simple. It is all assembled and ready to use. You will have to provide the skimmer net. In my pool, I had two places I could put the clip. One was on the pool ladder, and the other was on the pool entry rail. Both would have given me a good spot to catch debris being pushed by outlets. Installation was easy. The only thing you need to watch out for is dropping anything while installing the clip. If you do and you are at the deep end, you will have to fish whatever it is back out from the bottom. A number 6 metric hex tool is needed if you want or need to tighten the hex screws more than finger tight. The clip has rubber washers that give some flex to the clip when tightening. This helps keep you from tightening it down so tight that you might crush your tubing on the handrail or skimmer net. It really does not have to be that tight to hold well. Remember that you might have to readjust the net level if your water level rises or drops significantly. The setup does a good job of trapping debris. Depending on what net you use, you might end up with some debris floating back out of the net when the pump is not running. You just need to make it a habit to clean out the net when you are doing your normal daily cleaning routine. The one thing that would be an improvement is using some type of hand friendly screw at least on the net side. This would allow you to more easily clean out the net daily without resorting to the hex tool if you do not have the finger strength to untighten and retighten the screw each time easily. For the money, though, this is currently a great item, so I cannot ding it for a lack of this option. So far, I do not see any weak spots in the construction or function, so I consider this to be a good purchase.

This works. It clamps to my ladder and skims as the current from my pump pushes floaties into it's path. My issue is it just looks industrial. Part of the joy my pool gives me is to look out and see the flowing lines and deep blue crystal clear water. Yes, the leaves and junk floating on top detract from that and it would be great if I could skim it all off. This contraption helps with the skimming. But then, when I look out I see the clear water and this device clamped to my ladder. I end up using it for a bit, then taking it off until there is another leaf fall or flower petal inundation that overruns my wall skimmer.

This is a good scenario we fit and function clash.. You weren’t tirelessly to get the pool opened and looking good and then you got a deal with all the floating objects on the top. This little clamp solves a great big problem and helps eliminate floating debris. My pool only has one skimmer and can do so much and this little device lets me be more efficient, but it definitely does not make the pool look good. It is clunking and having a net strapped to a ladder rail isn’t very attractive, but it’s very functional and needed For those short term uses. That’s about the only negative. I can think of so. Let’s switch positive. Once adjusted and doing a job perfectly this really helps speed up the process of debris collection. Between dog hair and pollen. It’s a constant battle and this clamp solves that issue 100%. This is a well-made well designed clamp that is easy to use and contains quality parts and materials. I was able to secure Annette in place with no issues and not once did it move. I just hosed off what little debris was on there when I was finished and I put it up for the next turn. Because it helps so much more than it hurts. Five stars are given and is now considered a must have item in the Pool arsenal.

Works as advertised the fit is quite snug and its super user friendly. The build quality is great solid sturdy metal seems like it will last quite a while. The design is basically done for what it serves so no crazy weak points and stuff. Worth the money so far. Also it’s just the clamp.

I like this idea. Before / in the past, I've 3D-printed some clips that attach to PVC pipes to hold a skimmer in place, and that worked for a year, but the plastic melted in the sun :D and since then I've been using a large clamp to hold the skimmer leaf attached to the pool ladder. It also works, but the clamp will get rusty and not be usable for other purposes. So, a dedicated contraption like this is great. It comes with some little rolls of sticky tape that I didn't see any instructions for (well, there aren't any instructions at ALL), so I didn't use those. But I added the padding tape to the inside of the clamps and attached it. I like the fact that the screws can be turned in by hand, but there's better grip if you use an allen wrench. I'm not going to do that, though, because I like being able to remove the net by hand for emptying or manual use.
