Your fitting doesn’t fit on on it

I tried to use this for 1/2” drip irrigation tubing. It will not work. The first part will not fit over the tubing. The ad is misleading. It says it is for 1/2” drip tubing but it will not work on regular tubing which has a diameter of 0.70”. Don’t waste your time. The spec says 0.60-0.63” tubing.
