Works like the OEM charger. I have the OEM charter for my Dell, but I needed one to use when I am on the go. I put it in my laptop backpack to always have it available, and now I don't need to unplug the one at home every time I take my laptop out.

Works well on our Dell G15 laptop. It is thinner than the original charger, and it weighs less. Great for travel, or to keep in a school backpack without having to lug around the heavy OEM brick that comes with these laptops. It does only charge at 240W vs 330W, so if gaming or doing intensive work, you may need to use the original charger. Seems to be a good value and should hold up for a long while.

I have a Dell 7404 ruggedized laptop and the adapter that came with it was dropped destroying the power in port rendering it useless. This adapter has more than enough capacity to keep it not only topped up but will happily run it without a battery if I decide to swap out my batteries one for one and get them all charged up before a trip to the field. It doesn't get hot, just warm and has cables that are plenty long. The build quality is great and I like that the port output tip lights up just like the OEM one did. It tops up the computer faster than the old one ever did and seems to produce stable power. I'd say it's a great value. Be forewarned that it it a bigger brick. That is not an issue to me.I would definitely recommend this power adapter .

The original Dell G15 gaming laptop adapter is a bulky and like a brick and not so convenient to carry, this adapter is also big but not that heavy.I purchased this as a backup to carry when I step out of my house. The power delivery of this adapter is 240W vs the OEM which is 330W. Thus while gaming one should use the OEM and use this adapter while using for a lesser work load like browsing or not using with extensive load on NVIDIA GPU.This adapter does throw a warning sign at boot which you can ignore and hit continue and is due to lesser power rating. The adapter does get lightly warm on use thus not a major concern. The warning from Dell also states this adapter might not be sufficient to charge your battery, it is true for adapters with rating less than 150W but this adapter does charge your battery while using the laptop with lighter load.(I have an older adapter with the same pin but it does not provide sufficient juice for my battery to charge though I have not tried it to charge my battery when laptop was not in use)The adapter came properly packaged along with the power cord.

My son’s Alienware laptop charger looked like it had been chewed up by a garbage disposal—frayed cord, bent prongs, the works—so I got this as a replacement. It worked perfectly right out of the box. It’s a hefty 240W charger, which is what his laptop needs, and there were no compatibility issues at all. The cord length is good, and it doesn’t overheat like some off-brand replacements can. Honestly, this was a lifesaver for a gaming laptop that won’t even boot without proper power. No complaints so far. Solid replacement.

This has worked on 4 different Dell laptops. That’s helpful. I have it plugged in at a common space so any of the employees with a Dell can use it.It does not work on the Dell dock, however, even though the power rating is well above the need of the dock. This charger is big. Not something I would want to have to carry around. It’s basically just ready at a shared desk space for anyone with the various kinds of Dell laptops to use it.

This delivers the same functionality as the OEM part, but at a lower price.Clearly, a bargain.
