We needed to check our well water on see if the wayer softener was doing it's job and this told us what we needed to know. It seems accurate. Distilled water tested 0 ppm and the water from the faucet tested 227 ppm. The water from the water heater tested even higher. Then, I tested water that I dissolved salt in to total saturation and it tested 999 ppm.

We haven't really used this yet. So it's hard to give a reading, but it does. Do a good reading in just regular water

The only thing surprising about this device is that I am surprised I didn’t already have one! We have one filter that is filtered reverse, osmosis, water, and I always wondered if it made a difference. We checked our city water and got a number of 300, we checked our reverse osmosis faucet and got a number of 20! Drinking water is actually more pure! I then tested a bottle of drinking water, I mean, bottled water, and it came up with a value of three. Holy cow! This meter is super easy to use and valuable if you’re into drinking water.
