Be warned, this isn't as "quick connect" as advertised. I like the idea of securing the tubing using the screw on cap. However, inserting the tubing in and out (without heating it) proved to be a challenge. I am using the standard 1/4 tubing purchased from the local hardware store and it is such a tight squeeze that the connector broke off when I was trying to remove it. That either says something about the connector sizing or product durability. Maybe both. Either way, I'm disappointed with the product.

This review is for: 40Pcs Drip Irrigation Emitters 1/4 Inch, 8-Hole Irrigation Drippers with 5in Stake, Adjustable 360 Degree Drip Sprinkler Head for 1/4 Inch Irrigation Tubing (4-7mm) Garden Plants Watering SystemOur family has had a partial irrigation system set up the past few years but we are making a concerted effort to save money and so we were looking for 1/4 hose emitters. This product seems to fit the bill. The emitter head on the stakes are just like the one we have that poke straight into the 1/2 tubing but these can be run to a specific plant or into a pot off of a 1/4 in line which is much easier to conceal/hide.These emitters have a thread/barb combination for connection. It works similar to some compression fittings in your home. Unscrew the fitting cap and slide it onto your 1/4 tubing. (Female threads facing the end of the tubing. Secure the tubing onto the barbed end and then thread the cap back onto the staked emitter and tighten. No need to go crazy hard tightening it down. Just until it is snug and then a little more. The emitter head itself is very nice because it is a threaded regulation. Simply unscrew it gently to increase the flow of water to your plant(s) or tighten it down to reduce the flow. This is going to be really nice for potted plants and others that may need a little extra (or less) once we start watering this summer. And of course it gets staked into the perfect spot to keep it where it needs to be.Taking it apart (removing the tubing) might represent a slight challenge but not as bad as compared to regular barbed fittings. This is because the connection cap simply unscrews and then you can pull your tubing off the single barb (regular barbed fittings have 2 to 3 barbs and I use a head gun) which will save a lot of effort. My only concern will be longevity. I will update if needed. Otherwise these are a great value compared to what you get at the big box hardware stores.

So far so good!I have a pretty big garden and have slowly began replacing all the soaker hoses with a drip irrigation system.Problem is, there's so much involved in setting this type of system in place and so many differed pieces required to get the water everywhere you need it to go.These emitters are so easy to attach and seem to be held securely in place. My system hasn't been set up long enough to provide much input on it's longevity, but I haven't detected any leaks so far and my plants are thriving!

I've dealt with several different water emitters over the years and they can get expensive quickly. I figured getting a bulk set wouldn't be so bad if I could get a lot of them and maybe one or two here and there didn't work as I wanted them to.These stick a little more than I'm used to when trying to turn the heads to adjust the water level, but otherwise they work fine for me for the most part. It seems like a good deal to me so far and even if they only last a couple of seasons, it was a decent purchase.NOTE: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I receive this product without paying for it directly; however, I have to claim the full value of this product on my taxes as this counts as a taxable gift and I must pay taxes for the taxable value of this item.
