Pressurized filter baskets is just a way to extend extraction time artificially if you can't get a proper grind or tamp. It basically turns your espresso machine into a very expensive pod machine. Possibly useful if you have pre ground drip coffee that you want to use for single serve in your espresso machine.

I'm a fan of the pressurized baskets. Easy and quick to use with very little learning curve. This is a nice basket that produces a double (a single is never enough) espresso with plenty of crema. It doesn't lock into my portafilter so knocking the puck out is a little different but easily overcome.
