This Ravakeny 6FT trailer brake away cable is cpiled and much thicker guage than most. The coil is strong, the covering is thick and looks good. The plastic clip is quality. The included carabiner is super small and useless to most people. It wont fit over the avg hitch safety loop. I simply used a bigger carabiner. Other than the small carabiner, this is one of the best coil emergency brake cables I have owned.

I initially got this as a backup in case my other cable got lost or became unusable while on the road. When using this cable I immediately became aware of an unrealized feature. It’s BRIGHT ORANGE and if it becomes detached it’s a lot easier to see during checks than a cable that isn’t so bright. The cable is the appropriate length for towing and the connections are strong enough to activate the emergency braking system. 5 stars
