It's lighter than water so it floats out of the hole unless you are pulling a strong draft. Since I usually run my multi-speed pump at low speed a lot of the time (saves $$$s), this is a problem. I had to weave copper wire into the bottom so it won't float.

Fits nicely but floats? You will need to add some fishing weights to the bottom of the strainer to keep it operational.

This basket was true to size. It is very lightweight and thin, so I am afraid I'll break it if I don't handle it carefully. Also, this basket floats, which is strange since it cannot do its job if it is not submerged. I have to put a rock or chlorine tablets in it to make it stay in the skimmer housing, which is not a big problem but worthy of note.

The basket is too small and floats up out of the hole. I tied a fishing weight in to hold it down.

the product surely gets the job done. some how i got or ordered and got the wrong size.so i will have to remeasure and hope to get the right one.no complaints

It works, but not as good as the original. Had to put a rock in the bottom of the basket to keep it from floating in the skimmer.
