This is a bad product, very very poorly made. Upon trying to set it up for the first time out of the box, it would not expand. We had to use quite a bit of force to finally get it to expand, at which point we hear something tear, and discovered that the mesh net fabric was jammed into the sliding mechanism that allows the gate to expand and contract. The fabric tore, released itself from the sliding mechanism, the gate opened fully, and now won't close - completely jammed fully open. Now we are stuck with a 5 foot x 3 foot gate that won't go back in the box to be returned. Terrible terrible product. Find something else!!! Don't buy this!!!

For something named "Go With Me" folding gate, I assumed it was designed to be used in whatever location needed. It even shows it with a carrying bag. However, on the very first inside page of the instructions, it states in the WARNING section, "You MUST install wall cups to keep the gate in place. Without wall cups, child can push out and escape." So...the wall cups are these little adhesive plastic things that - once stuck to the wall - are not removable. How then, is the gate portable if the wall cups are not? The gate can be moved from one location to another and tightened firmly against a door frame, but ONLY if you choose to ignore the safety warning regarding the cups.

We’re on our third of these gates because of apparent quality control issues. A plastic hinge broke off of our first, and our second kept getting stuck all the way expanded. But they say “Third time’s a charm” (and thankfully, Amazon replaced the first two at no extra cost).Our third gate has been working great for several months in both narrow doorways in our old house as well as the wide steps on our front porch. We also love that it folds down and can go with us to friends’ houses.

I found this gate to be very, very sturdy and don't understand the negative feed back on the sturdiness (which caused me to hesitate me on purchasing the gate). I am so, so glad I made my purchase. I use it at the bottom of my stairs and thought I may have some difficulty on it being secure due to the post which is round. Using the discs provided (which don't require any drilling but they are discs that peel and stick extremely secured to the surface) the gate is secured to the post. I made my purchase on 3/23/2024 and waited a month to write my review to make sure the gate continued to be secure and easy to put up and take down, which it is operating perfectly. I put it up and down 4 times a week for when my grandson come to stay with me. I gave this product 5 stars because at of all the gates I have ever used this one by far is the best in regard to security for my grandson (who shakes it often) and staying secured to the entry way to the stairs. I would like to add I am 5' 3 1/2" tall and can climb over when needed to up and down the stairs while to gate is up.
