This chain breaker is of good quality. The metal is robust and there are two slots for chain links. This is a plus for larger sized chains. It was easy to use and robust enough for the toughest chains. For the price it is a decent breaker.

This bike chain breaker works, don’t get me wrong. It’s all there too. Even a piece at the bottom with another pin on a spring that I’m not entirely sure what it’s for other than just putting some pressure to hold the chain in place, which is cool, if it is for that. I just can’t get over the manufacturing of it. The thread was ran long. The bottom part and hole aren’t straight. If the handle had a chamfer in the same degrees as the bit tip used to make the hole it was threaded into, it would hide the extra thread on the handle. Like I said it’s all there and it works as good as more expensive options it just seems like a lot of corners were cut in the manufacturing process on this breaker.
