  • Authentic Anatomical Representation – Sheep hearts closely resemble human hearts in both size and structure, providing students with a realistic model to study mammalian cardiovascular anatomy. This similarity enhances the learning experience by allowing for accurate identification of heart chambers, valves, and vessels.
  • Safe and Non-Toxic Preservation – Utilizing Carolina's Perfect Solution, a proprietary, non-toxic fixative, these specimens are preserved without the use of formaldehyde. This ensures a safer classroom environment, free from harmful fumes, while maintaining the specimen's natural texture and color for effective educational use.
  • Convenient Packaging for Extended Storage – Each heart is immersed in preservation fluid and securely packaged in a sealed pail, ensuring freshness and longevity. This packaging method allows educators to store specimens for extended periods, making them readily available for dissection exercises throughout the academic year.
  • Versatile Educational Applications – Ideal for biology and anatomy courses, sheep hearts are perfect for hands-on dissection labs, allowing students to explore cardiovascular structures and functions. They serve as an excellent tool for comparative anatomy studies, enhancing students' understanding of mammalian physiology.

Good quality specimen. I didn't like the large bucket of formaldehyde it came in though, hard to figure out how to dispose of that. I prefer a vacuum sealed specimen otherwise great product, great delivery timing

This was for my son’s Surgical Tech class. The heart worked perfectly for their dissection day!

This was a great way to finish our homeschool group unit learning about the heart ❤. Due to some issues, we had to postpone the dissection by two weeks. I kept the heart refrigerated 😕 and it was still perfect, when we dissected it.

Good but not great. The heart was rather hard, probably due to the companies 'secret preservation fluid'. It was hard to follow the arteries/veins into the heart chambers. Still made a good study guide, but only if you have a good idea of what you are working with. Meaning if your trying to follow the pulmonary artery into the heart you better know where you're going lest you puncture through an atrium.
