As described! Works as it should and removes glare during the sun to ensure clear view of any issues to arise.

This polarizing filter is adjustable, which is a fantastic idea in that you can tailor its ability to filter out glare based on your application! For this car, a new Mazda MX-5 Miata, I turned the filter about halfway dark (not too much glare off the dash--the two halves of the filter twist to go darker or lighter). It works great and stays put on the lens of the camera, but did tend to change its setting with the car's vibrations. A piece of tape fixed that, so an easy fix, but I marked it down a star because of it.I've not seen an adjustable filter for a dashcam before, and it works well!

I mostly purchased this to attempt to reduce the reflection of my defroster vent on the windshield. It definitely improved it, but it did not eliminate it. It does a very good job of reducing glare, especially when the sun is low in the sky. The attached photos show with and without filters. Although I have obscured the license plate, the number was clearly visible when using the filter but barely legible without it. The color saturation is greatly improved and the haze over most of the picture was pretty much removed. Even though it seems a little pricy, if you capture a license plate that you might not have, it is well worth it. Although it was not made for my dashcam, I took a chance and ordered it. The inner diameter of the filter is 22mm and fit my camera perfectly.

This will reduce the stops a bit on your dash cam, so nighttime footage may get a bit grainier depending on your camera and how dark it is, especially if your windshield is tinted. BUT, if you have one of those dash-mounted infotainment screens, factory or aftermarket, it does remove the reflection of the screen from the windshield in the recorded video. It also makes the video appear clearer in direct sunlight as well.
