Really happy I bought three of these. They're a decent guage of metal and they didn't skimp on bolts for reinforcements. All edges my goats will come into contact with are folded over so they won't cut themselves. Assembly took a bit of time, but I only ran into two issues on three feeders, which I think is impressive for something that's half the price of a brand name feeder. My two biggest take aways are this would probably not stand up to horses and id be cautious with large goats if they jumped up on it enough times. A word of advice for putting it together, don't tighten any of the bolts more than hand tight until you assemble most of it, or get the hang of how things go together. The instructions really suck in this department, but I only used them to get a general idea of how they were assembled. They even included plenty of extra bolts and lock nuts.

The pieces are fairly sturdy and the metal doesn’t feel or act cheap. I think it’s a strange choice that the manufacturer chose to not weld the cross bars. I worry that the mesh portion may not last as well as it’s supposed to because of that. It seems like a short cut that just makes the grid less sturdy. There are a lot of screws and touching each one isn’t that fun. A tiny hand tool comes with the set. Unfortunately, realistically you need two. You have to tighten the nut while holding the screw head still. The instructions are simple until you realize they don’t tell you to wait on some screws. The video on the ad shows them basically just attaching a few until everything is together. I would recommend this or you have to really see which ones need to wait. It’s not in the instructions and they could have made them much clearer for the buyer. After the frustration of assembly, it’s a fairly sturdy piece. You have the option of hanging or attaching to a wall. I like having the option but am currently using mine by hanging. It’s frustrating paying high prices and always having to assemble yourself. But better instructions would have made it a better experience at least.

This feeder comes with pictorial instructions which are a little confusing. It takes time and determination, but it does come together nicely at the end. It includes a small tool for construction as well as really nice hardware for installation. It is very strong, sturdy and well made. We've installed in our sheep pen and so far we haven't had any issues with it's use. Our biggest issue with this feeder, was the hangers on the back. While there is some room for adjustment, it honestly doesn't come far enough away from the feeder for our needs. You couldn't even hang it on something the width of a 2x4. So if you want to hang it, as opposed to screwing it in somewhere, it needs a narrow bar or very sturdy wire to hang from.

It shipped fast, but the assembly took a long time and it was awful

These are not for horses. The 1st time I used it, the horse broke one of the welded parts. I returned.
