This is my third jacket of this brand. The inside micro fleece is more than enough to keep you warm In 40 degree weather without a sweater underneath. Keeps you dry in the rain and fits nicely. It’s not baggy but not tight either.

Seems well built and knowing the brand it will perform as described. The fit is nice, meant to move. These are not loose fitting, they are performance fitting. If you want/need loose order up.

I use this jacket for Alaska sailing in almost all seasons. I also use this jacket for dual sport motorcycle riding in everything but snow. Ordered it one size larger so I can wear layers under it. Jacket makes a very versatile, rugged outer shell and very waterproof.

This was especially crucial during rain showers and when the waves got rougher than anticipated.The Helly-Hansen Men's Skagen Offshore Jacket proved a reliable outer layer during my maritime journey. While I would have appreciated a touch more warmth, its overall performance and durability under challenging conditions are commendable. This jacket kept me dry with force 5 winds and a good amount of water coming across the bow. Obviously it is also very effective at cutting the impact of the wind. There is enough room to add a couple layers underneath that also remained dry. I wish the outside pocket where I put my phone was a little higher so that my safety harness would not impede access, but this is a minor issue. Yes, I would buy this one again!
