Hydro-Bells are an aquatic dumbbell with a three-dimensional configuration designed to enhance and take advantage of the total resistance field of water. Use the included Barbell Kit to allow the Bells to a custom bar and create a Maximum Resistance barbell. Quickly release the Bells for Dumbbell work. Aquastrength Fins add resistance to your legs. The drag created by your movements provides the resistance to tone and build muscle. The faster you move the more the resistance will build.

This system includes the HYDRO-BELLS and the Hydro-Tone Barbell Kit which allows the HYDRO-BELLS to become the ultimate aquatic barbell. This kit allows you to modify your HYDRO-BELLS for instant Barbell work. Press the tabs to remove the HYDRO-BELLS for independent Dumbbell use. Easily achieve your land-based muscle “pump” in the safety of the water. This Barbell provides twice the resistance of the Aquastrength Barbell.

  • Resistance is relative to the size of the piece and the speed at which it is moved through the water. Moving any piece slowly will generate a lower level of resistance. Stronger individuals can continue to increase speed and resulting resistance.

  • Using the large side of the Bells will provide the most resistance at any given speed.

  • The Hydro Tone HYDRO-BELLS are capable of generating the highest level of overall resistance, especially in linear movement patterns. They are larger than our other bells so if space is an issue the slightly smaller Aqualogix Blue Bells work well.

  • The HYDRO-BELLS are capable of being used as either medium or maximum resistance bells. If you like to work at high tempo (HIIT style), the Medium Aqualogix Bells are great choice. Many customers have multiple sets to use depending on the workout.

  • Yes! The bells that are used with the barbell are able to be removed from the barbell by using the quick-release buttons. You can use the individual bells or connect them to the barbell.

I had high expectations for this exercise equipment due to 5-Star claims that it is used by Olympic athletes, serious trainers, etc. I don't believe those claims because their claim of "Maximum Resistance" is false. Instead, resistance is so small that exercise it provides might be useful only for a child, an elderly person, or a patient in need of rehabilitation. But it is certainly of no value to any healthy person seeking to further enhance their fitness.And the ankle attachments are a joke. I wore them once. I would never wear them again.Plus, the price of $190.60 is absurd. A fair price would be no more than $40.

Wow. You actually get an incredible & versatile workout with these. Working great on the rehab. On my arm. Only engineering snafu is no quick disconnect/change from barbell to dumbbells, this really slows down & limits the workout. But overall great product so far ( I’m not leaving it in the sun.
