One of these will not cover a 50 gallon tank. Two are necessary. Also the tape provided with the product is too narrow. It doesn't hold well. My remedy was two kits and a 2" roll of aluminized duct tape.I cannot speak to the quality of the insulation, but it can't hurt.

Like most reviews I read AFTER I received this and installed it. It’s not big enough. I did order another one to make up for the empty spot. So I’ll over lap with the extra and fill the spot that’s empty

This moonoom Water Heater Blanket Insulation Wrap seems to be a good idea. My basement is pretty cold so any protection/insulation is better than nothing. This was easy to install and looks pretty darn good too. The price of this seems to be on the lower side of other water heater insulations making this a good value.

After realizing how much heat our attic stairs were transmitting into the living space I started looking for an easy way to insulate them. This insulation wrap worked out great and was easy to install. I just cut it to size with scissors and secured it with foil tape.I had planned to show before and after results with my infrared thermometer, but the weather cooled off, literally the day I installed this. We haven't had a comparably hot day since then, which is great for my electric bill, but I can't show the actual results.The insulation appears to be good quality and matched the stated specs, including thickness, so I have no doubt that it will help in my application and the intended use for water heaters.

This water heater insulation is very good quality. It’s easy to cut and easy to use. I’m glad to have it to use on my water heater, but I need some more because of the size of my heater. I think the price is fair for the quality and the job it does.
