This dispenser is a good size and holds all the pencil crayons we had in the house. This dispenser makes a great place to hold all the pencil crayons and a fun game of art where you don't know which color is next. Loaded it up and it dispensed an endless stream of colors. It seems quite durable and has 2 hinges at the top that can open the lid to add pencils. The inside components allow sizing to the correct type of pencil being supplied, setup/install was simple and took less than a minute. The Yegeer pencil dispenser was capable of dispensing the standard 2HB pencils we use, dispensing both unsharpened and sharpened pencils with ease, with one coming out each press on the bottom panel as I would expect. Some were 2/3 the original size and still came out ok. Kit also came with a few decals which my child enjoyed decorating the box with, looked great with the vibrant blue color the box was painted in. I think this dispenser would work well in a classroom, kitchen or drafting station as well. I loaded a lot of pencils and pencil crayons and believe the 200 capacity estimate to be accurate.

I live with 5 young boys who go through pencils like there's no tomorrow! This Pencil Dispenser makes it super easy for them to use, and they love the ""self-serve"" feature. The dispenser is sturdy, and it doesn’t topple over like some of the flimsy alternatives we’ve tried before. I don't have to worry about it walking across the table or making a mess!We got the silver version, and it fits perfectly into our classroom setup. It holds a ton of pencils, which is great because I’m not constantly reloading it. I also appreciate that it dispenses one pencil at a time, so there’s no risk of them grabbing a bunch and hoarding them. While there are occasional moments when it spits out a couple at once, it’s easy to fix, and it’s really not a big deal.I’ve noticed that it works especially well with the regular-sized pencils, but sometimes it gets jammed when using those with big erasers, so that’s something to consider. Overall, though, it’s been a huge hit with my boys and even with their friends. I highly recommend it for any teacher or parent who has kids who love their pencils!

I received two of these to use for my classroom.Pros:-The box is a nice wood box, and the inner plastic piece was easy to snap into place.-It was also easy to adjust the pencil tabs to get them to the correct size.-There were fun, good labels to add to the boxes; just what I wanted, one label for dull pencils and one for sharp.-It's convenient, when it works...Cons:-The operating mechanism sits diagonally in the box and takes up a good half of the box, so the storage capacity is way less than it looks in the picture.-The dispensing isn't consistent. Pencils have to lie exactly right in the container. If they get out of alignment at all, they stick and clog the dispensing. If you have just a few pencils in it, you reach in and pull it out; it's not hard, but it kind of defeats the purpose. If you have it full, you'll have to dig a bit to get it unstuck, which again defeats the purpose.-If students pull too hard on the dispenser tab, the pencils will shoot and jump out quite far! Flying pencils aren't exactly what I was going for. I wanted it to be fun, but now that's something else to have to monitor, so ...-These are priced too high for the glitches in consistent functioning.I was really excited to get these, but unfortunately, I can't really recommend them.

I was a bit dismayed that the wood is unfinished. I don't feel like there is any kind of sealer or anything on this natural wood. I now see these same units in a painted yellow. The stickers come with it, so you can place them how you want. I would just rather place them on a painted surface. These boxes look like they would hold 100s of pencils, but once the slanted mechanism that dispense them is in place, it doesn't hold has much at is looks like it does. It seems like about half the size of the box is filled with pencils. The mechanism works perfect, and you can even adjust it for different widths of items (thick kindergarten pencils or skinny straws).

I know this is for pencils, which is a GREAT idea, but I’m using it in my kitchen for straws. I was getting tired of the tall cylinder shaped straw holder, and I love the look of this pencil dispenser. The only problem is that if the straws are not wide enough, a bunch of them will come out each time you push down to dispense one. However, I really like this dispenser so much that I’m going to find, and then buy, thicker straws just so I can continue to use it for that purpose. No matter what you want to use it for, it’ll look real nice.

My kid goes through several pencils a week. I’ve had to buy cases of pencils because of this and I’ve just been using plastic zipper bags to keep them in. So glad I found this gem! It’s so easy to put together. I included a photo of how much to adjust the 2 tabs to make it dispense one pencil at a time. For reference, I used number 2 Ticonderoga pencils. The lid doesn’t quite close tight (see photo) but it’s not really noticeable nor does it affect how well it works. The stickers are cute too. I’m so impressed with this pencil organizer. I have not tried it with straws but I don’t see why it would not work for that purpose just as well. This is a perfect teacher appreciation gift, a tool for your office, or for home organization. Definitely worth the price.
