We added a 12’ above ground pool to our backyard about a month ago and I ordered this pool vacuum last week because skimming the top isn’t cutting it!. My husband assembled it this morning and said it was very easy to assemble with the exception or connecting a small pin that holds the handle to the vacuum. The pin is small but he got it with a few tries. He says there’s 3-4 pieces to connect in total. He connected the vacuum to the garden hose and then put the vacuum in the pool. He turned the hose on, only after the vacuum was in the pool and says this step is important. From there, he hopped in the pool and started vacuuming. It’s that simple! The pressure from the hose creates the vacuum suction and it requires no power. He spent about ten minutes vacuuming until the bottom of the pool was immaculate! He didn’t think it was that dirty (I did) and he was skeptical of this style vacuumed but we were both blown away by how well it works! Absolutely incredible product!I’m including a picture of all the debris that it sucked up.Pretty easy to assemble. Works as advertised. Creates a very clean pool bottom. We highly recommend!

This actually works better than I expected it too, it picks leaves up fast and with no issues. The plastic and handle are pretty cheap and flimsy feeling though, I am definitely concerned about how long this will last before something breaks, the mesh bag is a good quality though. The handle is skinny and short and it can't connect to poles we already have because of how thin it is, it will definitely be something we would have to use while in the pool, would be okay for a very small pool. Getting the pin out to connect the hand was difficult and to use a hammer and pliers, and there really was no reason that pin should have been inserted anyway. I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't feel so cheaply made.

I was really excited about using this pool vacuum, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. While it does vacuum up some of the dirt, there was a lot of dirt in my pool that it just did not get out.

This is easy to put together and easy to use. My teenage son Had it together and running in minutes. We have a small, inflatable, above ground pool that we use for cooling off quickly in the extreme heat. This type of vac is pretty much perfect for this type of application. You have to be slow and methodical, but it does suck up grit, leaves and various debris. It would be tedious to have to use in a large pool, but in this little one it worked well and with some patience it does an excellent job of cleaning off the bottom. The mesh catches most of the debris well, all stays put but the finest sand. We’re happy with this and would buy again.

Pool Vacuum Cleaner for Above Ground PoolI had already had a vacuum just like this and wanted an extra as a backup. They work great and all you need is a water hose with water going through. Be sure you put the vacuum in the water first before turning water on in order to create a good suction going. It picks up all big things for the most part but some fine stuff does go through the bag as it's only a mesh bag. the Pole is kind of flimsy but you should be pushing this around slowly anyway. Easy to clean and set up. I love it.

Great way to clean your pool without requiring power!Just hook this vacuum up to a hose (and water source) and move it around in the pool. The only criticism I have is that it wont easily reach my entire pool unless it is used while being inside the pool.

This above ground pool vacuum works wonderfully. It was able to get all the fine silt as well as leaves accumulating at the bottom that the filter isn't able to get in and filtered out.The handle is a bit flimsy, I used a newer medium garden hose with it and had some minor troubles, so you might use a lightweight hose or one that's well broken in and flexible. The collection bag was easy to clear out, I just turned it inside out and let it dry on my fence.I found this easy to assemble and was afraid my so-so water pressure wouldn't cut it, but it seems really well made and created a strong flow. This really makes keeping my pool clean easier, I'm excited to use it again.

This review is tricky. I gave it 5 stars based on the value to quality ratio. Sure could it be better...yes it could. Does it work...yes it does. Ok. First its flimsy...the pole is 6 pieces and sort of snap together but its only about 3/4 and inch thick so it bends and bows but does stay together. The vacuum is pieces (the bottom with 2 plastic wheels and a couple of brushes. Then the netting and the hose attachment. it works but blowing water up the tube which pulls dirt and debris up with it and traps it in the net. So leaves, bigger but lightweight dirt is sucked up. Fine dirt and heavier items are not. For a quick get a few leaves and grass and some dirt off the bottom its works fine. For a clean my algae infested I don't clean my pool often crowd find something better. I found a lighter hose works better and you need good water pressure. The more water pressure you have the stronger the suction force....if you have limited pressure this won't do much sucking. Basically for a kids above ground pool (one of those 4' deep models...this works great. If you have a big inground of really big deep above ground I would pass and find a traditional pool vacuum. So based on need and your pool this is either a really good value or a waste.
