Looking forward to seeing the effects - not knowing when.... It was just installed. But really disappointed that there were no instructions of how short or tall the "body" should have been. Plumber had to drill out/ chip out the insulation of the top so the rod could be seated. The seating depth was quite low! So the top of the device is inside the unit... and now opened to dust etc. There were no educational tips for warning of this situation. Not sure if it is Tank dependant or what.. but now I had no access to it..

I plugged it in my 80 gallon water heater and it IMMEDIATELY eliminated the hydrogen sulfide that was produced by the stock anode rod. It has been working for nearly half a year and is supposed to last the life of the water heater.Great Product Highly Recommend!

I installed this because it's been 3-4 years since I changed my anode rod. I removed the old rod, flushed my tank and installed this. If the power cable was longer, maybe 1-2 ft longer I could have plugged it right in. I had to grab a power strip for it to reach, not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind.The rod is pretty thin, thinner than others I've seen. I'm hoping it works but there is no real indication it is working besides the adapter having a light on it (which doesn't mean the rod actually works). I will use this for 6 months and flush my tank again to check for sediment. I hope it works, but I'm skeptical.

i hooked it up and yes i checked to make sure i had power going to it, the water still has a stink to it. sorry. i wouldnt buy this product again.
