Sometimes you buy things just because they are cool. I couldn’t resist this beautifully rendered statue of a Roman Centurion offering his sword in tribute. Of course the sword is actually a small letter opener and you are welcome to choose your own tribute, typically in the form of your favorite pen or cell phone. Cast in heavy resin, it is rich in details and beautifully executed. It stands 8” tall, sits on a 4”x6” base and weights in at a hefty 2lb. 6oz. Three variations are available. I chose the blue vestments but it comes in gold and silver also. On the base is a groove intended for a second pen but it also allows you to use your mighty Centurion as a cell phone stand as well. Like I said…pretty cool. Personally, my grandfather was a calligraphy artist and I intend to display his prized Monte Blanc fountain italics pen. Recommended.

This letter opener holder is quite truly amazing. It looks beautiful on a desk but is not too functional as it only holds the letter opener that it comes with and one pen or pencil. It is a big object that takes up some room. The letter opener is a bit small and I am not sure if it works but I am thinking it might not be as practical as others out there. Definitely a piece just for looks. The statue is quite expensive though to not really have much capability to do much else but hold stuff.

This is amazing from the moment it comes out of the box. This is extremely well made and very good quality. The workmanship on it is impressive and overall it just looks fantastic. Even the sword letter opener is impressive. It is a solid piece and very heavy duty. There is a spot in the knight's hands to hold a pen -- or the sword letter opener and then there is a slot on the front to use to prop up a cell phone. It is almost too pretty to hide behind a phone. They had this very well protected in the box almost to the point you would have to massively smash the box down to break the knight statue.Overall, this was a wonderful find. Definitely recommend.

This is a great decor accent. The measuraments were nowhere to be found on the listing, so I thought it was smaller, but I was very suprised when I got it, it is BIG!The product arrived in perfect shape and very well packaged. The attention to details is impresive. The holder is perfectly made all around. Nice finishes, smooth, very detailed and well painted, I have no complaints. It is not the cheapest, but if you are looking for a unique and well made piece of decor, this is it. Holds up to 2 pens. Funny enough mine didnt come with the sword, but it is still beautiful. Would recommend

This is just an incredible item I got from Amazon! It’s bigger and heavier than I expected — feels solid and really well-made. The design is awesome and looks great on my desk.In some spots, the paint job could be a bit better — a few areas look slightly underpainted or uneven. But honestly, it doesn’t ruin the overall look. I still love it and I’m already thinking about getting the other models too. Great piece if you want to decorate your desk with something unique and cool. Feels like the beginning of a collection!

Such a neat pen holder! I am a huge fountain pen enthusiast and when I saw this knight, I just had to have it. It is of amazing quality and substantial heft. The detail is outstanding. Holds a fountain pen perfectly. If you are a pen enthusiast and want something unique and different to display your writing instruments, consider this item. Note — this display holder also comes with a very detailed sword which I almost threw away with the packaging. It is buried in a layer of packing styrofoam. Don’t miss that one small detail! :)

I ordered this just because I thought it’d look cool on my desk - but wow, I didn’t expect it to be THIS cool! I figured it’d be some lightweight resin figurine, but it’s actually a solid piece - bigger and heavier than I imagined. Even the sword, which I thought would be some hollow piece, is solid and has a nice weight to it.I’m super glad I picked the blue version too - the colors really pop, and the detailing is seriously impressive. It’s technically a pen holder, but let’s be real, I’m not using it for that. Could probably work as a phone stand too, but nah… this guy is staying on display as a straight-up decor piece. Really, really cool find - this one.

This is a handsome statuette with fine details, bold colors and a satisfying heft. The manufacturer calls it a "Roman Praetorian Prefect Warrior Knight." The helmet crown and cape could be Roman, but the sword is pure Lord of the Rings. The knee boots and chain mail kilt are modern BDSM cosplay, nothing any known Praetorian Guard officer wore. The armor is closest to late Medieval, but more Hollywood than anything else. The pose is not typical of known Praetorian practices.

I store my letter opener in a junk drawer; where searching for it is a drag. Sometimes I'll search the drawer only to come up empty handed because someone has used it and not put it back in the drawer. That was then. This is now. The Roman Praetorian desk ornament has wow factor as well as providing a memorable spot for my letter opener.Liked:•Eye catching. Everyone who comes into my office and sees him comments.•Solid enough to act as a paper weight.•Nice detailing on the armor.Disliked:• Painting is sloppy in some places.•Skin color is shiny orange.•Letter opener is not sharp

I wanted this Roman Pretorian Perfect figurine because I have always been a fan of the Roman Empire and associated history, plus I thought it would make a very cool phone holder. The figurine is well crafted as far as the detail is concerned. The figure is heavy and has a lot of small, intricate features that really add to the overall look. However, the finish on this is not to the same quality presented in the ad. I ordered the bronze version, and the paint on it is very poorly done. The worst example is the chainmail in front which has what I would describe as a rather large "spill" on it, ruining the look (see photo). The figurine has numerous areas where paint is not where it should be. At this price point, I would have expected a better paint job, especially on a piece where such attention was given to the structural detailsIt is unfortunate that it does not have the look of quality represented in the ad as far as the paint is concerned. If it did, this would be a five star addition to my desk. As it is, it will probably sit high on a self where close examination is not possible. It does do a good job of holding a phone.

I was instantly drawn to this CYXStar Roman Praetorian Guard desk ornament and visually, it doesn’t disappoint. The attention to detail is excellent, from the armor plating to the posture and facial expression, very cool addition to an otherwise routine office setup. The resin build has a surprisingly hefty weight, giving it a durable almost premium feel. The detachable sword adds a nice bit of interactivity too, I enjoy toying with it when I need to think. What I didn’t anticipate was just how large the piece is. If you're working with a small work desk like mine, be aware that this isn't a small accent, it’s a centerpiece. It definitely takes up more space than I expected

"Roman Praetorian Prefect Warrior Knight Pen Holder Desk Ornament Resin Praetorian."- Made from Plaster of Paris & metal. (The main ornament is made of Plaster of Paris.) (The sword seems to be made of metal or something heavy like it.)- The Warriors sword is a letter opener.- The base has a trough at the front which can be used as a pen holder.- Base measures 4 1/4"W, x 6 1/4"D, x 3/4"H.- Sword is 5 3/8" long.- Total height is 8" approximately. When I showed this to my friend he immediately said I like it. We are avid gamers and this figure is prevalent in the gaming world. I like it very much too but was devastated when I saw pieces fall out when I opened it. Despite being packed in soft foam it couldn't withstand the Amazon delivery guy. It came in the manufacturers box and should have been packed in an additional Amazon box marked Fragile but it wasn't. Rather then struggle with a return I will try and repair it myself. The damage was minor and is on the backside. Since it's only made of Plaster of Paris I should be able to manage it. I gave this product a 4/5 I think it was a little pricey but I know these will be very popular.

Some of my favourite books and movies are fantasies; even at my age, I enjoy dragons, elves, hobbits, and swash buckling adventure. My wife has always been tolerant of my tastes and, indeed, was the one who suggested that this Roman Praetorian Knight would make a lovely addition to my figurine collection. I didn’t need much convincing!High quality figurines such as this one are quite expensive, a testament to the careful design, precise detail, and the superior craftsmanship which they exhibit; there’s nothing worse than a poorly fabricated, cheap looking model. There’s no question in regards to our knight, he’s obviously a product of quality workmanship. The sculpting is flawless and the bronze finish (with its copper and red trim) has been masterfully applied resultingIn a pleasing, highly realistic look! The sword that the knight holds is a thing of beauty! Standing roughly eight inches high, the figurine is made of pleasingly heavy poly resin which, at first touch, looks and feels like metal. The underside of the base is conveniently felted to prevent scratches to furniture. While the felt allows the figure to slide fairly easily, its weight and low profile makes accidental tip overs almost impossible. A pen can be placed in the figure’s hands or one can use the sword which accompanies the set. I’ve been using the carved groove on the front of the base as a convenient spot to store my phone when I’m at my desk although, truthfully, I anticipate that this figurine primarily be used as a decorative piece rather than for holding pens or other paraphernalia. The photos of this figurine on Amazon’s product page really don’t capture the size and commanding presence that it possesses. Its exquisite details and realistic appearance makes it a nice conversation piece whether kept on a mantle, a table, or, as in our case, on my desk. This unique piece may not be particularly practical but it certainly brings a touch of whimsy to my work area; I love it! Highly recommended!
