Sometimes I expect things like this to be straightforward out if the box. I actually had to read the instructions and got set up with setting the indicators to 3-1/4” (70mm) to a blade tooth, not the blade plate. Moved the jig to the 3-1/2” reading and got a perfect 1/4” thin strip. I’m very happy with the results. I looked at another make for about $10 less with one reviewer stating it could not be indexed to the blade. Very happy with this one. Fits in Delta T-Slot perfectly. Becomes easy to use once calibrated to the blade. Nice that the roller bearing can be reversed to use on the right side of blade too.

The quality of the material is excellent and the jig is well marked. I was able to make accurate cuts quickly and safely down to 1/32nd of an inch. I used this to make guide blocks for a table project and it worked well. The safety aspect is outstanding as your rips are made without fear of kickback. Even on small cuts I was able to leave the guard in place on my DWE 7485 Table saw. The cost is also competitive. The jig fit out of the box into the miter slot on my DWE7485 Table Saw. A couple of recommendations, allow adjustment of the scale to index to zero when the jig touches the saw blade. You're required now to place the jig against the blade, note where the pointer lands on the scale, mine is 2 1/16" inches, and then subtract your desired measurement from that amount. Also, there is a slight amount of play in the miter slot which requires you to hold the jig tightly against the right side of the slot when preparing for the cut.

Been in the cabinet making business for over 50 years. Never used a tool like this, only found out about it by mistake. Looked at several, then bought a different brand - did not like it. So I bought this one. Great tool.1) It has an extended reach from your miter slot to the blade.2) The bearing is let low to the table so not thinner boards cannot slip under the bearing3) The bearing turns only one-way.4) You can lock the tool to the table, then separately lock the sliding arm.5) You can adjust the see through marker setting.6) All metal construction

it's a peculiar brand name for any native English speaker, and, admittedly, I wasn't holding out much hope for this product because of it, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Most of the reviews have been positive so I took a punt on this jig.It is very well finished, the tolerances for the moving components are close, the length of the bearing arm exceeds the blade on my Harvey cabinet saw by about two inches and withdraws to about 4-1/2" inches, and it fits the miter slots easily and tightly once it is snugged up.It was well packaged in contoured foam and a cardboard box and even comes with instructions. It also includes bolts to use in t-slots if that's what your tool has.If I was being really picky, perhaps the only gripe is the smoothness of the one way bearing surface which meets the wood - it's too sheer to have any practical effect on reducing kick-back.However, this is of little consequence except for those of you stupid enough not to use either a riving knife or a blade guard with a splitter every opportunity you can.So does it work? Absolutely. With the right blade, the right wood, a very straight edge, and a steady hand it can cut 1.5mm strips successfully (a little less than 1/16" for the imperialists out there).Would I recommend? it's a bit pricey, but everything on Amazon is in Australia, so the cost-benefit might be differet for you.In terms of build quality and functionality, though, I'd definitely recommend and buy again. And I might even look at some of the other stuff GoingMake already make and are going to make in the future.

Whenever I can, I try to buy American made products. Sometimes, I just can't justify the expense. This is one of those situations.Woodpeckers wants $170 bucks for their version. If it was even double the cost of this, I probably would have purchased an American made jig from them. But at more than 4x the cost...no way. This jig is well made and leaves me confident that once I set it, it will stay put through the last strip I need to cut. Is the scale super accurate. Not really, but it is close enough, and easy enough to use that I can get within 1/64th of my target thickness every time. Cut a test. Make a slight adjustment and I am plowing through my strips. If I am honest, this is a bit of a convenience item for my shop anyway. And this affords me that convenience at a fraction of the cost of my go to American made brand. Sorry Woodpeckers. I love ya, and I love your tools, but sometimes your pricing just feels like you are gouging me.

If you are looking to get thin strips for specific jobs, then look no further. It really makes the job easier once you learn how to set it up properly. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the bearing wasn't tight and fell off the guide, but luckily, I was able to put it together and continue using it without a hiccup.

I was concerned this might not fit the miter slot on my Hercules table saw but I was worried for nothing as it is perfect.Tool is really solid and high quality and the red looks great. I have several other Goingmake products, the honing guide and a t-square and am more than pleased with their quality and accuracy.
