You have to figure out how to work it. If you do that you have a nice adjustable lantern with a flashlight feature . It’s good for around the house as well as camping.

This light is bright! I will get a lot of use from this flashlight/lantern, especially when the electricity goes out. It has an incredibly bright flashlight on one end and a lantern on the other. The lantern end is bright enough to illuminate a small room, such as a bathroom. Avoid looking directly at it. I like that I can charge my phone from the charging port. This would be great in an emergency. It includes several modes for both the lantern (three different color modes and a dimmer mode) and the flashlight (bright, dim, and strobe). There is an LCD to show how much charge is left, however, I am not sure how accurate it is. Sometimes the numbers are either backwards or incomplete. I have had readings of E8 and L8. I was concerned the tungsten filament would be fragile. It is not. It is flexible. I shook the heck out of it and it bounced back every time.I had trouble finding information on how to switch between the different mods. Press the power button once to turn on the lantern. Press twice to turn on the flashlight. Press the power button multiple times to cycle through all the different modes. Long-press when in lantern mode to adjust the brightness of the lantern. Turn the bottom section when in flashlight mode to focus the beam.

This is a combination rechargeable flashlight and lantern. The lantern part has three settings, one is the center filament light, the other is the base of the filament light, then the third is the filament and base of filament light together. The filament light is bright enough to full a standard size bedroom or your tent if camping. The other combined part of the light is a standard flashlight, which has a telescopic type of lens which while depressed creates a floodlight effect which is very bright and provides a well lit and detailed view of a wide area. When the flashlight lens is extended, it creates a focused beam , which lights up a tight but well lit area hundreds of feet away. There is also a bright strobe effect option, great for signalling and for blinding an attacker if used in that manner. I used to be in law enforcement and the flashlight part of this combo light is as strong as a professional Streamlight, and if I had this then, I would have put this combo light to work while on duty. I highly recommend!

I picked up this 2-in-1 rechargeable camping lantern for trips and it's been impressively bright—great for lighting up the whole tent or campsite. The flashlight mode is super useful when I'm trekking around in the dark, and the rechargeable battery means I don’t need to worry about packing extra batteries.That said, the weight is a bit more than I’d like for backpacking (it’s better for car camping), and the switch isn’t very intuitive in the dark—it took me a minute to find it the first night. Overall, though, it's become a pretty sturdy and reliable companion for outdoor nights!

So, although it not clear in the listing, once received I was able to determine that the “slide” feature of the device does not hide the clear portion of this device. It is only to adjust the beam from wide angle to tight field of view.As for the function of the light, it is bright and offers multiple options for deployment. It’s durable, but not heavy duty, meaning it is not designed for extreme amounts of abuse.Lastly, I wouldn’t recommend exposing to any moisture, there’s no indication that it is safe or effective against water.

I love this multi-function flashlight. I was looking for something to fill many needs and this is it! The battery is a 2500mah battery, so it is comparable to other rechargeable flashlight/lamps on the market. I especially love the tungsten filament light strip. The end is magnetized and it can move around making it fun to play with and hard to break. One end is a lantern and the other end is an adjustable focus flashlight. I will have to see how the battery holds up, but right now this is my new favorite flashlight for camping and around the house.
