Works perfectly on my M1 14" MacBook Pro Laptop. As good as the original OEM charger. Great price point as it is much cheaper than the Apple OEM Thunderbolt replacement. Quality is great, cord is well made and as long as the original cord. Cord also works on my USB C Samsung to recharge. Recommend with quality and a much lower price than Apples charge cable.

I needed a replacement for my MacBook charger, and I am so thrilled with this replacement! It arrived as described/pictured. I was a little concerned when I opened the box it arrived in and found that the unit I received had clearly been repackaged, but I opened the box to find a well-packaged block and cable inside, which is really all that matters. As soon as I plugged it in, she connected and went to work. I was astonished when my laptop, which was at about 20% battery, charged inside of an hour. It never charged that quickly with my old charger; it would typically take 1 1/2 hrs, which I was more than happy with. For the price, and considering the premium Apple owners pay for brand accessories of lower spec (not to speak of possible tariffs to come…), this is a great charger. Stepping on my old charger is one of the best mistakes I’ve ever made.

I got this to replace a malfunctioning OEM charger for my older MacBook pro. Side by side this is a near replica of the branded charger. Charging is just as fast as the OEM with the same level of heat at the block. It charged my MacBook Pro in the amount of time it took my branded charger. The block is well made with fold out prongs; the included USB C cable is a fair length and feels as thick as the OEM cable. Overall, it is a quality made, lower-cost replacement for the more expensive branded one. On my MacBook Pro, it stated around two hours for a full charge with smart charging turned on. I am very happy with it and it does work as I expect it to.

The Power Adapter:This 96W charger looks and functions just like the OEM charger for my M1 MacBook Pro 14” laptop, which also came with a 96W adapter, and is actually stronger than the one that came with my M1 MacBook Pro 13” laptop. The other day I inadvertently let my MacBook Pro 14” laptop battery drop to 12%, which was much lower than the 20-80% range that I like to try keeping my battery at. That said, this replacement 96W charger took just one hour to get my battery from 12% up to 90%. And that’s even with the Apple System automatically slowing down the charging to a trickle charge at the around the 80% level in order to extend the life of the internal battery. So it really does perform like the OEM charger, I’ll tell you what. As of the date of this review, the Apple Store doesn’t even sell a 96W charger anymore, 70W now being their most powerful. So if you really want a 96W power adapter, this is the way to go.The Charging Cable:On the other hand, the USB-C charging cable is no where near as nice as the Apple cord that came with my 13” M1 MacBook Pro. The cord retains a memory from being bundled up and has a tendency to tangle, while the sheath of the Apple cord is more supple with no memory issues. And since my 14” M1 MacBook Pro actually has a a MagSafe port for charging, keeping a USB-C port free to connect to another peripheral, using the included power cable requires me to give up that USB-C port. In that respect, the Apple cord is much more convenient. But I can understand why only a USB-C cable is provided as it is more universal. As far as cable lengths, the supplied USB-C cable looked like it was shorter but when I measured it, it was 78” long, exactly the same length as the OEM USB-C cable that came with my 13” MacBook Pro as well as the MagSafe cable supplied with my 14” MacBook Pro.
