Well made. Plenty of incremental bars. Have never had these but see many uses to make measurements more accurate.

I am a woodworker, and I got these setup blocks to help speed up the process of setting blade and router bit depths when I'm milling up wood parts. I provide that background, because there is a limit of precision when it comes to working with wood and setting up tools for milling wood. With that context, I think that these setup blocks will come in handy, but I don't think I would use these for more precise metal work. These setup blocks cover a reasonably wide range of sizes, and you can combine multiple blocks to achieve just about any dimension you'd want in 1/32" increments. They arrived neatly packed in custom cut foam to protect them in transit, but they're just inside a regular cardboard box; it would have been nice to have a more durable case for long-term storage. After all, it seems like when I order screws from Amazon, they show up in a little plastic re-usable case, so why not here? The precision of these blocks, according to my calipers, are generally within five to thousandths to of the stated dimension. For example, the 3/4" block measured at 0.745" on my calipers. The 1/2" block measured at 0.508". I'm not going to claim that my calipers are the ultimate arbiter of exact measurements, but based on other reviews, it seems like a bit of variance from the stated dimensions is something other people are seeing too.I mention this just for thoroughness, because in woodworking, rarely does several thousandths or even a hundredth or two of an inch make a difference in the end result. The finish on the blocks is generally pretty good, though there are some small blemishes, but none that would affect the usability, just the cosmetics. The markings are helpful and it's nice that the dimensions of each block are engraved so they can't wear off, and the white printing that shows the dimensions in both imperial and metric seems pretty good too (at least it doesn't come off with vigorous scraping of a fingernail). I do find it a little odd that in a set that is clearly intended for imperial measurement users, one of the two cylinders is spec'd at 10mm diameter, while the other is 1/2" diameter--that makes no sense to have a 10mm cylinder. Wouldn't 3/8" or 1/4" have made more sense for an imperial marked set?My conclusion is that these will probably help speed my tool setups, and the price, while not a steal, is reasonable, so if your needs match up with the accuracy that these offer, then these deserve a closer look.

I bought these setup blocks to help me quickly set blades and bits when I'm woodworking. The blocks cover a wide range of sizes, and you can combine them to achieve intermediate thicknesses, though the precision is only good enough for woodworking, not machining metal, at a few thou or so.The markings are helpful, and the dimensions are engraved so they won't wear off. The white printing showing the dimensions is quite visible and not super small. Overall, these setup blocks are reasonably priced and should speed up my tool setups.

How precise do you need them to be. As they included the metric conversion, I found it easier to check that rather than convert fractional to decimal. I used a genuine Mitutoyo accurate to 5/10,000. I found most of the blocks to be over or under about 1/10 of a millimeter. They are packed well for protection, but there is no case to keep them as a set.
